Description

Once, the Prince of Mona eagerly dashed up to show the companions a large fish he had caught--to the delight of Eilonwy and Gurgi, but not Taran; for a moment later, Rhun's attention turned elsewhere and he hurried off, leaving Taran holding the wet, slippery fish in his arms -- The Castle of Llyr by Lloyd Alexander

...I didn't realize that entire incident was one sentence.

As I work my way through a re-read of the Prydain Chronicles, I decided to do a drawing for each book. Castle of Llyr has been a challenge. It seemed that Prince Rhun really ought to be in the picture, because he is adorable in an annoying fashion. But none of the sketches for Rhun being heroic turned out the way I wanted, and neither did any ideas with Llyan. There just wasn't any really iconic moment (that hadn't been done already) that stood out to me. Then this suggested itself, and, here we are. :)
